Journeying Within
At times, we have to journey deep within to become acquainted with those parts of us that still need healing. This involves addressing childhood experiences, recounting familial and other significant relationships, and most of all accounting for our own thoughts, feelings and behaviors. I’ve found in my own process, that there are layers upon layers of healing that have potential to take place. Chances are, if you’re reading this, you’ve already begun the healing process.
This task takes willingness and persistence and surrender. It can be painful, grueling work at times. Our goal is not only to be “happy and successful”, but to model for ourselves and those around us a better way of living. A healthier, richer way of living. As we do this work, we uncover bright, chaotic, beautiful parts of ourselves that may have otherwise stayed buried.
If you're a cycle-breaker or healing from past relationships, be mindful of those parts of yourself that may still need some attention. Be patient with yourself, give yourself grace and compassion. This path towards healing can branch off into several directions. You may find self-help books of use, work with a therapist or coach, or engage in yoga and breath-work. This work is not easy, but it's worth it.
